There are people who have information which could solve major crimes, but either because of fear or apathy they do not come forward with information. The Crime Stoppers program offers this double opportunity:

1- Guarantees caller anonymity.

2- Offers a cash reward.

Hopkins County Crime Stoppers is a non-profit organization operated by a Board of Directors made up of citizens with a wide variety of backgrounds, but like you, they share one thing in common: they want to live in a community that's as safe and secure as possible. That's why they're donating their time and effort in the fight against crime.

The News Media is an instrumental ingredient to the formula. They publicize a special case each week through radio, television or the newspaper in order to generate information that will raise community awareness and generate tips that lead to the solving of the crime.

Law Enforcement is a key part of the equation. The police detectives that staff the Crime Stoppers office take the anonymous tips, work with the media, investigate and/or follow up each serious crime and network with the entire criminal justice system to insure a speedy apprehension.
